In this Houdini FX project, I created a dynamic scene featuring a high-intensity explosion that propels a car through the air. The explosion is meticulously crafted with realistic fire and smoke simulations, adding depth and energy to the action. Dust FX further enhances the environment, blending the destruction seamlessly into the scene. The car's trajectory and motion are dynamically driven by the force of the explosion, creating a sense of realism and chaos. Overall, the project showcases a powerful combination of simulation techniques to bring the dramatic action sequence to life.
MAYHEM

In this Houdini FX project, I created a dramatic destruction sequence set in a medieval castle under siege. The scene features intricate destruction FX, with crumbling walls, collapsing towers, and fire spreading through the castle, adding intensity and realism to the chaos. Fire simulations are layered to enhance the devastation, while smoke and debris fill the atmosphere, contributing to the overall sense of destruction. A detailed matte painting is used for the background, seamlessly blending the scene into a vast medieval landscape. The project highlights advanced destruction and fire simulations combined with visual artistry.
ASCEND

In this Houdini FX project, I crafted a dynamic spaceship launch sequence, featuring fantasy based thruster effects and intense ground interaction. The thrusters emit powerful energy blasts, propelling the spaceship into the sky, while detailed rotorwash FX stirs up dust, debris, and atmospheric turbulence around the launch site. The scene was seamlessly composited in Nuke, integrating all elements into a cohesive and cinematic visual. Through a combination of fluid simulations, dynamic lighting, and precise compositing, the project brings the sci-fi takeoff to life with a high level of realism and impact.
MEANDER

In this Houdini FX project, I simulated a realistic river scene with flowing water, complete with whitewater rapids and dynamic movement. The river’s flow is carefully crafted to capture the natural turbulence, featuring fast-moving currents, splashing, and foam as it navigates over rocks and uneven terrain. Whitewater effects enhance the sense of speed and power, adding depth to the scene as the rapids churn and collide. The project showcases advanced fluid simulations, emphasizing the complexity of water dynamics and creating a visually immersive natural environment.
SNOWBOUND

In this Houdini FX project, I simulated a dynamic snow system using Houdini's Vellum and MPM solver to achieve realistic and artistic snow behavior. The Vellum solver was utilized for soft-body dynamics, allowing snow to interact naturally with surfaces, while the MPM solver captured the detailed compression, scattering, and accumulation of snow. From delicate drifting flakes to impactful snowball collisions, this project brings winter to life with high-fidelity FX.
